We are so excited to announce a new part of our practice: Eye for Beauty Aesthetics at Cornea Consultants of Albany! After decades of taking care of patients’ eyesight, we are elated to now offer our patients several options to help them reach their cosmetic and beauty goals.
Before dermal injections were used for cosmetic purposes, ophthalmologists were the first physicians approved to use Botox to aid a variety of eye disorders. Now, decades later, we are proud to carry on this tradition, marrying health and aesthetics. Our physicians and our Registered Nurse Cosmetic Practitioner are now able to offer several options to help you regain that youthful appearance including BOTOX®, Dysport®, Restylane®, and Kybella®. By providing cosmetic treatments in addition to necessary eye care, we are thrilled to use our expertise to provide our patients with a refreshed and rejuvenated look, while prioritizing health and safety.
Our injectables are the highest quality, providing safe and natural-looking results. The cosmetic injections we offer include:
BOTOX®: Using botulinum to relax muscles underneath wrinkles, Botox injections are a safe and effective way to reduce wrinkles and smooth skin. By injecting Botox into problem areas of the face, patients can expect to see visibly smoother skin within days of the virtually pain-free treatment.
Dysport: Dysport, like Botox, also relies on relaxing muscles beneath wrinkles with botulinum. Dysport does differ from Botox in a few ways, including a quicker onset of action and different dosing. Our experts will help you choose the appropriate treatment for your problem areas.
Restylane:We offer several varieties of injections within the Restylane family, all of which deliver diverse and beautiful results. Restylane can be used to smooth skin or provide lip enhancement. While Restylane Lyft is a nonsurgical alternative to a traditional facelift, restoring fullness to the face, Restylane Refyne and Defyne reduce nasolabial folds, also known as laugh lines. Restalyne can also be used to help with hand rejuvenation. With a variety of options within the Restylane family of injections, these injections meet a wide array of aesthetic goals.
Kybella: Using deoxycholic acid, Kybella slims down a patient’s neck or chin, targeting and destroying fat cells to help create a permanently slimmer neck area. An excellent alternative to surgery, Kybella is minimally invasive but delivers impressive results after only 2-4 treatments.
In addition to these exciting injectables and fillers, our Registered Nurse Cosmetic Practitioner, Lisa Nunez, will be working with clients to help regrow thinning hair with Selphyl and Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (or PRP). PRP uses injections of your own plasma to stimulate hair growth and help you grow your hair naturally. Lisa will also be offering consultations to help you find the right skin regimen with Skinceuticals Skin Care. Lisa has over 20 years of experience helping patients look and feel their very best and we are so happy to have her as a part of our team.
