Botox and Dysport

Botox and Dysport are a protein synthesized from the abobotulinumtoxinA toxin, which works by exerting a relaxing effect on the muscles underlying wrinkles. By injecting Botox or Dysport into crow’s feet and smile and forehead lines, the muscles are temporarily immobilized, helping to smooth wrinkles away. Botox and Dysport are extremely effective and safe ways to reduce the appearance of facial lines and creases, restoring a patient’s youthful glow.
What Areas Can Botox Treat?

The most commonly treated areas include:
- Horizontal lines across the forehead
- Vertical frown lines between the brows (often called “11 lines”)
- Crow’s feet that fan out from the corners of the eyes

What to Expect Before and During Botox
Every Botox treatment begins with a consultation. We take time to understand your concerns, review your goals, and confirm that Botox is the right choice for you. Once we agree on a plan, treatment can often take place the same day. We start by cleansing the treatment areas and marking the precise injection points, mapping them to the specific muscles responsible for your lines.
Many first-time patients worry that injections will be painful, but the discomfort is minimal. During Botox treatment, our specialists use a very fine needle, and the entire process typically takes only a few minutes. You may feel a brief pinch or slight pressure at each site, but nothing more than that. The number of injections depends on the areas being treated and the results you’re after, and the entire process typically takes only a few minutes. No anesthesia or downtime is required, so most patients return to their day immediately.
Botox Recovery, Results, and Duration
Botox requires no real recovery period. You may notice slight redness or minor swelling at the injection sites, but this usually fades within a few hours. However, it’s important that you avoid rubbing the treated areas, remain upright for a few hours afterward, and avoid working out or excessively sweating.
Results are not instant. The muscle-relaxing effect develops gradually. Most patients notice initial smoothing within three to five days, with the full effect visible around two weeks after treatment. Botox results typically last three to four months. With consistent maintenance treatments, many patients find their lines soften over time.
Restylane
The injectable dermal filler, Restylane, can reduce signs of aging, and add volume and new definition to facial features. With fillers, our physicians and Registered Nurse Cosmetic Practitioner can fill in deep wrinkles, smooth out lines and creases between the nose and mouth, and renew contours in the lips, cheeks, and other facial areas.
Restylane is composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally within the human body. This minimally invasive procedure, results in a smoother, more natural look that appears almost immediately. There is little, if any, recovery time and results can last from six to eighteen months. Follow-up treatments may be completed to maintain the effects.

Kybella
